2 c flour, all purpose 1 c wheat germ 2 T sugar (optional)2 t baking powder 1/2 t salt 2 T butter 3/4 c milk 1/4 c molasses
Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
Mix flour, wheat germ, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture looks like course meal. Combine milk and molasses. Stir into flour mixture. Turn and knead 5 minutes on lightly floured surface. Divide into 24 portions, rolling each into a ball. Roll out to 6 to 7 inch circles. Bake rounds, a few at a time on wire cooking racks. Do NOT use pans. Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until crisp and light golden brown. Cool. Store in container with loose fitting cover.
