Very filling, might want to cut smaller. Substitute 1 1/2 cups of favorite dried fruit for cherries and chocolate chips. Replace nuts with favorite nuts. Be imaginative!

Ingredients
                
1/2 c
honey

1/4 c
sugar, granulated

1/2 c
butter, unsalted

3 c
oatmeal

1 c
crisp rice cereal

1 c
dried cherries

1 c
chocolate chips, mini

1/2 c
walnuts

3 t
instant coffee (optional)

6 T
ground flax seed (optional)

1 t
ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 t
nutmeg (optional)

1/2 c
coconut flakes (optional)


Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a 12 x 9 inch pan.

Combine honey, sugar and butter in saucepan over medium heat, cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes until sugar dissolves.  Boil and simmer for 2 minutes until it thickens slightly.  Cool a little bit.

Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl (chocolate chips near bottom to keep from melting).

Pour warm syrup over dry ingredients and stir to combine.  Spoon into prepared pan and press down firmly so stick together.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

Cool before cutting.
